Explore Wickham

With a backyard of pristine sandy beaches and excellent fishing, Wickham offers a glimpse of big industry alongside a close-knit community. The Cape Lambert iron ore ship loading facility is one of the longest and tallest jetties in Australia.

Established in 1970 by Cliffs Robe River Iron Associates, Wickham was borne to support the creation and operation of a processing plant for the iron ore mined at nearby Pannawonica and a port at Cape Lambert from which to ship the produce.

Enjoy fine views of the town and surrounding region from Water Tank Hill lookout (off Walcott Drive). At sunset this stop provides a view like no other. Wickham Drive is home to one of Robe River’s Giant Haul Pac and Locomotives both of which are great photo opportunities.
